The challenge

People continue to use hand held phones when driving, this is a high risk driving behaviour. Could can we provide a way/s to lessen the risk so people can use their phones and drive?

The approach

We called in a range of experts throughout the design sprint including; NZTA, University of Waikato, Police, Vodafone, and Clemengers BBDO. They provided different perspectives and a range of leaping-off points.

We supported the participants as they ideated, prototyped, tested and presented throughout the sprint to refine their ideas.

The outcome

Using a design sprint approach allowed a group of people to approach the problem from a fresh perspective and range of experiences.  Any gaps in understanding were identified and questioned the Business Owner was provided with new directions for future research and investigation.
