The challenge

Communicate user needs to help inform the vendor carrying out the replacement of an enterprise reporting tool.

The approach

The team developed a set of user typologies  through a series of workshops within the business. We then tested these by consulting with subject matter experts across a number of business groups identified during analysis of the current state.

The outcome

These user types received great feedback from the vendor designing the reporting tool and other project stakeholders for understanding the needs of the tool’s users.

Highlights

Working with some smart people in the area of Business Intelligence to communicate user needs specific to reporting.
